Over the years, I have helped young professionals learn how to develop their business. But once you get a client, how do you keep them in this ever changing technology environment. While we always need to keep it fresh, here are a few of my top ways.
1. Develop a relationship - this is is first on the list, because it is the most important. I have a relationship with 3 affiliate companies. They got to know me on a personal level - what my hobbies were, how many kids I had, etc. When it was my birthday I always received a gift that was personal to me, not just another paperweight for my desk.
2. Show appreciation to your clients, not just during the holidays. During the year, send a creative thoughtful gift. St. Patrick's day is around the corner, send shamrock cookies.
3. Quarterly Newsletter - if you have not already started a quarterly newsletter for your clients, you need to start the process. Each quarter feature a client and their case story, with their approval, of course! But this shows the client you care to help them grow their business.
4. Host a training event - all clients have some need of training. Find out which clients have the same training need in mind, invite 10-20 at a time. This way everyone has the opportunity to network while you have a day of learning.
5. Use your website to YOUR advantage - create a members only area and have our clients be apart of a forum for networking.
There are so many ways you can engage with your clients, this is just a short list, but call us, we can help you find what will fit your needs and put you on a growth path in 2020!
